The accident happened on a road inside a housing estate in tambon Huay Lor at around 5.30pm in full view of the girl’s parents, Thai media reported on Thursday. The child, Kamolwan Tanrin, sustained head injuries and was rushed to a district hospital, then transferred to Phrae Hospital. Salinee Tanrin, 32, told police her daughter was hit by the school van driven by Prawin Jaiha while crossing the road inside the housing estate. The girl attended pre-kindergarten at a private school and used the school van service every weekday. On Wednesday, the van dropped Kamolwan across the road in front of her home.
